What do you think that the opposing sides to the issue are?

Present something that has two perspectives. Regarding conspiracy theories, one can certainly point out the demerits of irrational beliefs; however, what are the merits of this type of thinking?

Some of the merits I believe to irrational thinking is Irrationality is useful in the construction of new ideas and concepts such as working out problems mathematically. I found an article on Kahneman and Tversky acknowledged, and is all too often overlooked, is that being irrational is a good thing. We humans don't always make decisions by carefully weighing up the facts, but we often make better decisions as a result, rational thinking can lead to ineffective decision making, can lead us to ignore our emotions and intuition

The essay must also incorporate one of the ideas that we studied this term (examples: an essay dealing with incarceration might consider morality issues, an essay dealing with trans-rights or crime might incorporate identity, an essay dealing with education might incorporate an argument regarding epistemology. Failure to include this content will result in an automatic loss the purpose points within the essay. It needs direct examples from material in the class.) Finally, the end of the essay must have a paragraph reflection on how the research altered the author's perspectives.
