Every state has certain different requirements and training for an individual to buy a firearm. The government expects the society to have an understanding and knowledge of how to use a gun. We have to comprehend that guns are not for everyone and it is scary when someone who has never learn to fire a gun versus someone who has skills and training but sometimes we need to take the chance of shooting someone (basically it's myself or you) (Lott & Wenner, 2018). For instance, law enforcement they do provide effective protection for the nation but in some situations, you could end up dead or someone close can end up dead before the police show up to the location (Lott & Wenner, 2018). Guns can save someone life in a dangerous situation where theirs no communication between the law enforcement and the individual has better chance to survive (Lott & Wenner, 2018). Guns have been purchasing over 2 million times by a person who follows, and respect laws and statistics have proved that criminals think twice before committing a crime against someone (Lott & Wenner, 2018). Some weapons, such as fists need specific skills to make them deadly to use known as 'the great equalizer' where, some weapons as the guns need specific skills to make them not deadly to use (Lott & Wenner, 2018). The society and the law enforcement duty are to keep the society and country safe from criminals and citizens even if that means owning a gun.
