Evaluation and Control information consist of performance data and activity reports. If undesired performance results because the strategic management processes were inappropriately used, operational managers must know about it so they can correct employee activity. (pg. 304).
They offer a five-step feedback model.
- Determine what to measure.
- Establish standards of performance.
- Measure actual performance.
- Compare actual performance with the standard.
- Take corrective action (p. 304).
