To Catch a Predator was an American reality television series that featured hidden camera investigations by the television news magazine program Dateline NBC. It was devoted to impersonating underage people (generally ages 13-15) and detaining male adults who contacted them over the Internet for sexual liaisons. People were lured to meet with a decoy under the pretense of sexual contact and then confronted.

Answer the following questions, in consideration of this program.

1) Does the fact that these men were caught on an episode of TCAP prove the existential reality of fate, free will, or determinism. With your choice, explain the extent to which these men were free to make the choice to pursue an underage child.

2) According to Care Ethics (the feminine critique) before evaluating the morality of an agent's actions we must consider their personal history and relationships in light of their actions. Might this be helpful in understanding and evaluating the morality of child-predators in meting out punishment and correction?

3) Every ethical system we have learned this semester would summarily condemn the actions of a child predator? Does this help to prove the position of pluralism or pragmatism? Explain your answer.

4) Can the pursuit of an underage child ever be reduced to cultural relativism. Explain your answer. If not, does the absurdity of pursuing an underage child imply universal truth? Explain your answer.
