Homework: Two Popular Ethical Approaches
In this writing homework, you will analyze both Bentham's and Mill's Utilitarianism and Kant's Categorical Imperative.
Step I: Read the following passage:
Read the assigned Chapters in Ethics: Theory and Contemporary Issues including the two Readings by John Stuart Mill and Immanuel Kant
Step II: In a 2 to 3 pages, 500+ words paper respond to the following points:
i. Evaluate Utilitarianism in terms of what you think is right (if anything) about it and what you think is wrong (if anything) about it.
ii. Evaluate the theory of Categorical Imperative in terms of what you think is right (if anything) about it and what you think is wrong (if anything) about it.
iii. Conclude by describing how either, both, or neither fits into your personal life.
Step III: Save and submit your homework.
