In 2005, news reports disclosed that psychologists were involved in the torture of prisoners at military/CIA sites such as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay. Sadly, this was not the first time that psychologists were involved in such practices-hired by the government for their psychological knowledge. Evaluate the role of psychologists in torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment? Be sure to include information concerning human rights, social justice, multicultural guidelines, and other relevant ethical principles.
