Project Assignment: Quantitative and Qualitative Study
Length: 5 to 6 pages.
From the South University Online Library, locate two separate research studies. One study must be a quantitative study, and the other study must be a qualitative study. Assess the instruments and data used in the studies.
Tasks:
In your paper, address the following:
I. Summarize the instrument(s) used in each study, including the appropriateness of the instruments to the research objectives.
II. Classify the questions (e.g., open- or closed-ended) used in each study.
III. Assess the coding scheme (if any) for questions used in each study.
IV. Classify the data type (e.g., nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio) used in each study.
V. Evaluate the charts or tables used to display data in each study, including how well the charts/tables helped the reader understand the data analysis.
VI. Evaluate how the data analysis supported the research hypotheses or answered the research questions of each study.
