We live at a turning point. Beginning in the year 2007, for the first time in human history, more people will live in the urban areas than in rural areas.
Tasks:
Evaluate the causes of the spread of suburbs and of the environmental, social, and economic impacts of sprawl. Overall, do you think the spread of urban and suburban development, which many people label sprawl, is predominantly a good thing or a bad thing? Do you think it is inevitable?
