Activity:
• Evaluate an Educational Website, Software Program or App that aligns with the instructional strategy: Non-Linguistic Representation - 10 pts.
• Evaluate an Educational Website, Software Program or App that aligns with the instructional strategy: Cues, Questions, and Advanced Organizers - 10 pts.
Students will utilize the class wiki to demonstrate knowledge obtained from reading the textbook by evaluating an educational website, software program or app that aligns with the instructional strategies examined during week 5. Students will use the information and tools provide on evaluating web resources, software programs and apps during week 1 (Review the Course Materials folder: Week 1>Evaluating Educational Websites, Software Programs, & Apps).
After examining the chosen technology resource, students will provide a brief overview of the evaluation on the class wiki with the following information:
• Name of the Resource
• Provide URL (if applicable)
• Identify the resources as an educational website, software program or app
• Rate the Resource on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 = Highly Recommend for Classroom Instruction & 1 = Would Not Recommend for Classroom Instruction)
• Brief description of the Resource and how it can is used with classroom instruction (3 - 5 sentence)
• How does the resource align with instructional strategy examined (2 - 3 sentence)
