Homework: Health Insurance Plan Evaluation
In this experiential learning experience, you will evaluate a healthcare plan using the attached worksheet. The selected plan can be your own health insurance or another plan.
Step A
Use published information on the selected health insurance plan to complete the homework worksheet.
Step B
Create a 7 to 10 slides Power Point presentation to include the following:
a. Introduction to the plan, including geographic boundaries
b. Major coverage inclusions and exclusions (Medical, Dental, Vision etc.)
c. Costs to consumer for insurance under the plan (include premiums, deductibles, copays, prescription costs)
d. Health insurance plan ratings if available. If no ratings are found for this plan, include a possible explanation for this situation.
e. Evaluation of the health insurance plan-include your evaluation of this plan from two standpoints:
f. a consumer-focused on costs, coverage, and ease of use
g. a public health nurse- focused on access to care for populations and improving health outcomes.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
