Textbook: Technical Communication by Mike Markel; Stuart A. Selber
You should complete exercises 15.3 through 15.5, which can be found on page 434 of the textbook. You should note that the resume in 15.3 and the cover letter in 15.4 are from the same person in response to the same job posting. Both of these activities ask you to analyze the effectiveness of the document. When working on these activities, you should consider both documents, what is included on each, whether that information is provided in the most appropriate place, and whether it should be shortened, removed, developed or moved to the other document.
Ex. 15.5 represents a totally different scenario and asks you to evaluate a follow-up letter of appreciation after having an interview, which can be an important correspondence to write.
For this assignment, the group should submit 1 memo to me, which outlines your ideas about all three documents and includes the ideas of all group members.
