Ethically, what was done wrong? and what should have been done in the following scenario:
Jennifer had a long day and was trying to get out of the office before 5pm. She had one more person to see. Dr. Adams had asked Jennifer to give Abdul, a young man recently diagnosed with schizophrenia, a prescription for a new medication. Jennifer had her coat on when she handed the prescription to Abdul in the waiting room. Abdul wanted to know what the medication was and why his prescription was being changed. "Will there be any side effects?" he asked Jennifer. She replied hurriedly, "Oh, no. Dr. Adams says just take this until he sees you next time."
