Assignment : Current Issues in Cyber Security
Select one of the following topics and discuss it from information security perspective.
• The security aspects of Cloud
• The security aspects of Big Data
• The security aspects of IoT (Internet-of-Things)
• The security aspects of [location-based] augmented reality applications/games (e.g. Pokémon Go)
• The security aspects of mobile apps
• The security aspects of wearable devices
• The security aspects of social networking
• Ethical issues associated with certain information security law or regulation (can be at international, national, state, or organizational level)
• Culture and information security behavior of individuals
In your report, you should:
• provide an overview of the topic area
• discuss the potential security threats
• discuss existing solutions and their effectiveness and their possible ethical issues
• propose new/improved solutions and discuss how they improve the effectiveness and/or address the ethical issues
Format Information: Please adhere to the following format guidelines in preparing your report.
1. The report is to have a cover sheet that identifies:
a. the author
b. the title of the paper
c. the semester and year during which the paper was submitted
2. The length of papers should range from 1,000 to 1,500 words (excluding references).
3. Use single space, 12-point font size and allow approximately one-inch margins
4. Include a references section
5. Incorporate APA style for references and citations (in the essay)
