Organizational success is dependent on leaders and their managers. It is important to understand the personalities of managers influence their administrative management style, their behavior and their approach to managing people and the resources under their management (Jones & George, 2013). Some managers are demanding, difficult to get along with, and highly critical of their subordinates. Other managers may be as concerned about effectiveness and efficiency as highly critical managers but are easier to get along with (2013). They are likable, and frequently praise their subordinates. Activity Description
Pretend you are hiring employees for your restaurant described in Week 1. Create a PowerPoint presentation for your partners about the ethical implications of using personality and interest inventories to screen potential employees. How might this practice be unfair to potential applicants? How might organizational members who are in charge of hiring misuse it? Make sure you discuss various aspects of the Big Five
Personality Traits, Values, Attitudes, Moods and Emotion
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as "speaker notes" for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Support your presentation with at least one (1) scholarly resource. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included.
Create a 8-10 slides (with a separate reference slide) with 50-100 words for each slide
Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style where appropriate.
