Two workers were displaced when a company installed a robot to deliver tools and materials to workers in the plant. The robot followed a specially painted track on the plant floor. Several other workers, fearing that their jobs would also be lost, decided to "teach the company a lesson." They repainted the track so that the robot walked off the loading dock and suffered major damage. The workers felt they were justified in their action. Is this an ethically defensible position?
