Simply creating and implementing the policy is not adequate to guarantee success of program - it also comprises evaluating progress of that policy to make any essential adjustments to increase quality and efficacy. Choose a public policy which has been in news recently, and estimate whether that policy has achieved measurable objectives, and if not, why policy has not met expectations of its policy designers. You may choose, for instance, policies regarding education (e.g., No Child Left Behind), economy (e.g., cutting taxes for middle-class taxpayers), or foreign policy (e.g., American military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan). Make sure to include what criteria you used to estimate whether policy succeeded or failed.
