Problem
Mr. Scott would like some cost estimates on some of the systems we have looked at over the last couple of weeks.
Mr. Scott wants a plan on how you will incorporate the physical access control systems , video surveillance systems, and intrusion-detection systems across the three perimeters.
Look for actual solutions and provide cost information based on Internet research (provide references). Find new ones. We are only looking at the physical perimeters. Later we will look at the logical (computer/network) perimeters.
There is no single "right" answer. The right answer is one that you can justify with assumptions, analysis, and research. For example, if you want each office to be locked with a swipe card system, you will need to determine the number of devices, cards, etc to purchase and find a system on the Internet that can support your requirements. What type of camera system will you use? You do not have nor do I want you to employ everything listed in the book but enough to secure the perimeters.
Task
1. Determine the requirements.
2. Estimate the cost for one access control system, one video surveillance system, and one intrusion detection system in support of security TechWorx.
3. Ensure you address all three perimeters in your plan. You can choose to anything for a perimeter, but you should explain your rationale.
4. Include at least one supporting figure, image, and/or diagram.
