Assume the exposed individual is a child (8 years old) who consumes water at the child rate for 4 years, that he swims once a week for 30 min, and that he takes a short (10 min) bath every day. Assume his average body weight over the exposure period is 26 kg. Assume that the average air concentration of 1,1,1-trichloroethane during the bath is 2 µg/m^3. Assume the dermal uptake from water (PC) is 0.006 m/hr and that direct dermal absorption during bathing is no more than 80% of the available 1,1,1-trichloroethane because he is not completely submerged. Assume the body weight and skin surface area are constant during the exposure period.
