1. You must establish that you are an experienced detective. Expand on your training, education, and experience. The more experience you have, the more credible you are for a judge to rely upon your investigation.

2. Establish that you have a crime in progress and that you have corroborated the details of tips, observations by others, etc.

3. Make sure you tie the house you want the search warrant for to the crime in progress (like drug selling).

4. Give the address (and apartment number if applicable).
