Please help me with news brief paper.
For this assignment, I have finish essay about news brief paper to get me acquainted with current events, tie together with Texas government course (govt 2306) , as well as critically analyze the source and potential bias in the article itself. The news story should be no more than a three months old and should be a news article as opposed to an opinion piece.
The format of news brief will be as follows:
1. A summary of the news article
2. Reporting on the reliability and bias of the news source as well as the author. Go to mediabiasfactcheck site and on the top left, type in the name of your news source (e.g. Texas Tribune), then click read more to read the detailed information about it. Using the information you gathered from the Media Bias Fact Check website, make it clear whether you personally saw that bias - including examples. Discuss the credibility of the author: their qualifications, if they are reporting on a topic they have specialized in, how long they have been working as a journalist, do they have any awards, etc. If they do not have a lot of experience that is fine; just mention what information you have about them.
3. How it ties into specific concepts we are learning in the course with direct citations.
4. Personal opinion - what is perspective on the issue, and why?
The news article should be taken from a reputable source (e.g. Texas Tribune, Dallas News, Houston Chronicle, etc). Please attach a copy of the news article along with the links of articles.
