Question: ERP systems are usually designed around best practices. But whose best practices are the right ones? A western bias is common; practices found in North America or Europe are often the foundation. When transferred to Asia, however, the resulting systems may be problematic. Why do you think this is the case? What might be different in the way different countries use processes (besides the standard "language" difference)?
