Equally spaced parts, with the distance between the parts being 10 inches, are coming on a conveyor belt. A machine tool has to operate on the part for 1 second as the part is moving on the conveyor. The speed of the conveyor belt is 5 in/second. The tool will be attached to the follower of a cam mechanism that you will design. In other words, the motion of the tool is controlled by your cam.
1. Design the svaj curves for the follower using polynomials. (Hint: When the tool is operating its velocity should be same as the part velocity.)
