Environmental and energy policy

Environmental and Energy policy paper

Let us focus on the supply side of the U.S. energy issue. A popular strategy to decrease reliance on foreign oil is the so-called All of the Above strategy, which encourages the development of the country's oil and gas resources (e.g. more onshore and off-shore drilling), building of new nuclear reactors, and the development of renewable sources (i.e. geothermal, hydro, wind, solar, and biofuels) of energy. Should the United States follow an All of the Above energy policy or should it shift more aggressively towards cleaner, renewable energy sources?

Discuss effectiveness, efficiency, equity, and/or environmental quality and public health considerations of adopting or not adopting your policy preference. Cite also any political acceptability or administrative feasibility issues.
