Tiara reached out and made me aware that Sophia was having a situation in school today. I did reach out to the school so I can speak to Delialah to get more information but she was not available. To speak to the situation in the group home, Sophia has been engaging in negative peer interactions in the home often times instigating situations or being overly involved in her peers conflict. She did get into an argument this past week, and when she felt as though the other youth was being distant with her she then went to another youth to talk about that youth. Sophia tends to start trouble and when it erupts into a potential physical situation she pretends as if she doesn't know how things got so escalated.
We have a family session scheduled for today, so I will have a discussion with Ms. Robin and Sophia about the cologne. If this is the case to hat she has purchased this young man a cologne, directly negates the progress we are trying to make in Sophia's treatment. As Sophia tends to treat her relationships as transactions versus actually building meaningful relationships. As of late we are focusing on building up her confidence and self-esteem, we haven't discussed relationships with boys as Sophia doesn't have the general understanding of being a friend or maintaining a friendship. She also has limited insight on what it means to actually be in a relationship, so I tend to focus on relationships overall not specifically boyfriend/girlfriend as Sofia really need to learn how to love and accept herself first prior to engaging in any other relationship.
