1) What is / arethe research question(s) that you would like to address in your Dissertation, or if undertaking a Public Service Project (PSP) what is the problem or opportunity that you wish to research?
The following research questions would be addresses in the dissertation -

i. What are the advantages to business through employee motivation?
ii. What are the most effective theories and approaches of motivation?
iii. What is the impact that various motivation approaches have on performance of employees as well as overall business productivity?


2) What is the purpose of your study and how will your research contribute to existing theory or practice?If undertaking a Public Service Project (PSP) what are the implications for your organisation, and how do you envisage the outcome of your research study will contribute to your target organisation? Consider the objectives and scope of the intended research.

The purpose of the study is to find the significance of employee motivation towards driving employee and thus business productivity.

The existing theory expresses that motivation is a strong driving force for employees to perform well, however, this research will also connect these two aspects with the overall business productivity to represent a triangle, where one factor depends on another.

3) Provide a brief explanation of the methodological approach to your research.

The methodological approach in the research will be a blend of the qualitative and quantitative approach, where the findings would be traced in qualitative derivation as well as percentages of viewpoint.

4) What type of research methods will you use to collect and analyse your data? You should consider whether you will be taking a quantitative or qualitative approach and explain the rational for your choice.

The research method in qualitative approach will be that of the secondary research on journal articles. For the blended methods, the questions in the survey and the interview will be qualitative as well as quantitative.

5) Explain how you have access to the subjects of your study? What is your approach to gaining access to the subjects of your study? Please give details.

To access the subjects of the study, few organisations will be approached through email. The target would be to get 100 surveys and 20 interviews done in total. This will be gathered from five different organisations. The permission will be gathered from Hr to provide us access to reach the employees or arrange the survey done through random employees for us.


6) What conclusions and recommendations do you hope to draw from your research?

I hope that the conclusions drawn from the research will show that there are several advantages to business through employee motivation, particularly when this is done through effective theories and approaches of motivation. Additionally, it would also be derived that there is high impact of motivation on employee performance, which eventually impacts the business performance, which ultimately pushes the organisation towards motivating employees.

It would be worth to recommend that the business implements appropriate methods of motivation of employees, which eventually provides it with business success.


7) What are the ethical considerations when carrying out your research?
The ethical considerations when carrying out the research are -

a) The data gathered will be analysed without making any changes.
b) If a participant wants, their confidentiality will be maintained
c) Complete information regarding research will be provided to all of the participants.
d) No participant will be put in a situation where they have a risk of harm
e) The research outcomes will be true to the best of the researcher.
