Suppose that the (short-range nuclear) force between nucleons arises through the emission of a particle of mass m by one nucleon and its absorption by the other. Given that the range of the nuclear force is R = 1:4 x 10-15 m, use ΔEΔt ≥ h/2 to make an order of magnitude estimate of mc2 in MeV.
