Drawing on research—with a minimum of five sources (see below for source requirements)—make an argument for or against the emerging model of LGBT housing on U.S. campuses. Be attentive to the gender issues at play in the debate and of the needs and principles of the broader university community.
Be sure to:
1) Provide a clear thesis in the form of
“LGBT housing is a bad/good idea because…”
2) Discuss
A: How does this type of housing serve or not serve the interests of the broader university community and LGBT individuals?
B: What evidence does your research show regarding your position regarding this type of housing?
C: Be critical of your sources: What perspectives do your sources operate from? What do they believe the core of the issue is? What institutional affiliations do your sources have?
3) Try to develop high quality sources. At least 2 of your 5 sources must be from peer-edited journals.
4) Include an MLA format works cited page. Be sure to cite all sources.
