Email etiquette memo your company conducts training

Email Etiquette Memo

The situation:

Your company conducts training sessions for new employees. You have observed that many of them have been using cell phones in class, checking their email on company time, and text messaging to fellow employees—to pass on personal material to each other or relay personal information—or even to individuals outside the company.

This greatly concerns you as President of the company, because you suspect the employees are not concentrating on what is being taught, making them less likely to succeed in their jobs when training ends, and you have a problem with employees using text-message or email account names like “Sexyguy2010” and “Honeypot96” for inter-company communications.

The assignment:

Draft a company memo, to be sent by you as the President, addressing company rules and procedures concerning electronic devices, including those concerning:

(1) cell phones while in the classroom during training sessions, and

(2) proper text message/email account names for inter-company communications.

Incorporate all the elements of good business correspondence,1-2 pages (approx. 500 words)
