Electrophilic Addition Reactions
(A) Such types of reactions are generally provided by alkynes and alkenes.
(B) Electrophilic addition reactions of alkynes and alkenes are mainly two step reactions.
(C) Alkenes and alkynes give electrophilic addition with those reagents which on dissociation gives electrophile also nucleophile.
(D) If the substance is a weak acid after that electrophilic addition is catalysed through strong acids (usually H2SO4).
(E) Unsymmetrical alkynes and alkenes offer addition reactions along with unsymmetrical reagents as per to Markownikoff's rule.
