Electric field due to conducting shell. A spherical shell of radius a is charged with a uniform surface charge density p,. Find the electric field intensity inside and outside the spherical shell. Show that the electric field inside is zero, whereas outside, it is equal to the electric field of a point charge, located at the center and equal in magnitude to the total charge on the sphere.
