Effect change at the selected social ecological level

Proposed methods:

Given what the literature from Section 4 says about previous attempts to effect change at the selected social ecological level:

- Describe in detail the changes your group seeks to introduce in the proposed intervention at this level.

- Explain how your group proposes to advance these changes.

Note that Section 5B has two parts: a description of what your group wants to do and how they propose to do it. Both parts are often elaborations or improvement upon the interventions previously cited in section 5A. Often it is necessary, however, to expand upon the theory of change that was cited in the original articles. Your HPCH 603 or HPCH 604 text can be used to supplement theory. Please provide appropriate citations and make clear and defend any new features your group is adding.

The what will depend on the social-ecological level of the intervention. It could be a governmental, organizational or community-level change such as a new policy or law. It could also be a change designed to affect networks or individuals.

- Whatever the change it should be adequately and clearly described including:

o Identifying the target(s) of change

i.e. the person or people who must change in order to achieve the change you desire

o Behavioral objective(s)

i.e. the behavior(s) you need this person or people to adopt to effect change at this level
