Ecg amplifier project

ECG Amplifier Project Description
For the semester you are to build an amplifier suitable for a so called "three lead" electrocardiogram (ECG). Various electrode placements are shown below.
The amplifier should sense the cardio signal (POS and NEG) and have a differential gain of approximately 1000. In addition, the amplifier should provide a common mode feedback circuit (usually to the right leg or lower torso) to cancel out large common
mode interference from involuntary muscle contraction, 60 Hz pickup, etc. The waveform is to be displayed on an oscilloscope. The unit will also include a three digit display that indicates pulse rate. The whole system should be compact, enclosed in a box, and powered by two coin cell batteries (CR2450 or similar). Power draw from the batteries should not exceed one watt.
We will provide the adhesive electrodes and the standard snap leads. The output of the system should provide a 1-2 V output amplitude ECG waveform for a healthy adult with low noise and should quickly stabilize when the patient is not moving
