Each student will create a sales portfolio to accompany the role play which is done during class time. The portfolio must include one of each of the following: business card, product brochure, sample/mockup, and a one-page discussion for each of target market characteristics, prospecting method, and selling strategy. The materials submitted must be original designs by each student. Materials produced for existing firms, or downloaded (including logos), will not be accepted. The selling strategy must include sample opening statements, a FAB sheet, sample statements to overcome simple and serious objections, and three different closing statements. Portfolios will be graded based on overall quality (5), inclusions (5), creativity (5), and correct use of English (spelling and grammar) (5). Students are recommended to prepare their portfolio as part of their role play preparation. The sales portfolio is due in Moodle as shown in the course schedule.
