Discussion 2-E-mail Marketing
Is your inbox jam-packed with e-mails? Why are marketers intent on e-mailing you more and more? Most likely, because it works. According to a report by McKinsey & Company, e-mail remains a significantly more effective way to acquire customers than social media-nearly 40 times that of Facebook and Twitter combined. That's because 91 percent of all US consumers still use e-mail daily. Also, McKinsey states e-mails are estimated to be at least three times the rate of social media in prompting purchases.
Knowing the power of e-mails and the high rate at which they are distributed, what actions would you take, as a B2C Internet marketer, to make your e-mails more effective? To assure that they are read? To make them more meaningful to both customers and prospects?
