During the 4-day planning period of a hospital it is known that 30,25, and 20 patients will require l-,2-, or 3-day stays, respectively. However, the beds available during the same period are estimated at 20, 30, 30 and 30. Use goal programming to determine the hospital schedule such that overadmission is minimized.
