Dtermine speed of the blocks just before second block lands

A block of mass of 2.40 kg is on a table-top and is joined to a second block by a pulley. The second block consists of a mass of 1.80 kg and suspends straight down. If the blocks are free from rest they move via a distance of 0.500 m, at which point the hanging block strikes the floor. Given that the coefficient of kinetic friction among the first mass and the horizontal table-top is 0.450, determine the speed of the blocks just before the second block lands. (Employ energy relations to solve.)
