Dscribes the push for democracy that we saw in egypt -

O'Neil introduced us to several different explanations for democratization: modernization, elites, civil society, and political culture. This week we've looked at political violence, and covered what many call the Arab Spring or Arab Uprising.

Which explanation(s) do you think best describe(s) the push for democracy that we saw in Egypt?

Guarantee you elaborate on your terms and use support from the week''s materials to support your position.

1. Frontline''s Revolution in Cairo (25:00).

Note: Due to rights restrictions, the video is available to stream only in the U.S. unfortunately. If you are outside the U.S., read over the transcript of the video attached

2. Revolution Hijacked: Post-Mubarak Egypt (27:00). 2011.

3. The Economist Special Report: The Arab Spring (9:51). July 2013.

4. Egypt's Opposition Forcibly Muted Five Years Since Revolution (11:04). PBS Newshour, February 10, 2016.

Then read over this respond your opinion

"Since 2011 Egypt has been in turmoil with the changing of its Nations leader. When the Muslim Brother rose to power the people have had a great sense of needed change (Carr, 2013). From the information provided I can gather that Sisi has created a one-sided political culture. One-sided because if you oppose Sisi he has you jailed, as stated by Kestler that 67000 political prisoners are being held (Kestler, 2018).

Political culture in this case is very skewed towards Mr. Sisi's tactics to benefit his political regime. Part of Sisi's tactics to ensure a successful reign has been to assassinate 1000s of supporters of his predecessor (Hessler, 2017).

With those facts in mind the need for democracy is greater than ever in Egypt where the people's leader is acting in a totalitarian fashion.

The Arab Spring is a call to action for change that the everyday person wants and needs to happen. From the videos and articles something needs to happen in Egypt very soon or more lives will be lost."
