Draw graphs for definition of the vertical asymptote

Assume you have two functions f(x)=1-x2/(1-x)2 and function g(x)=1-x2/1-x.

X=1 is the bad input for both functions. Though, it turns out that f has the VA at x=1, while g does not. Describe. Draw graphs. Illustrate it all, and keep harping on definition of the vertical asymptote.
