Mind Mapping
Look around your current space and identify a random object. Write that object's name in BIG LETTERS in the center of a piece of paper
and draw a border around it.
Draw eight lines from that bordered word. At the end of each line, write a word that is related to the object word in the middle.
Now draw another eight lines from each of these words and repeat the process until you have three "expansions".
Choose a word from the outermost web and try to relate it to the big word in the center in a few sentences.
This is a great brainstorming tool when at the point of problem definition and searching for alternate views/ideas.
