Discussion Post: Making Of A Murder
As you know from watching "Making of a Murder", Steven Avery was wrongly convicted for a rape and brutal beating that he did not commit. He was imprisoned from 1985 until 2003. Your first writing discussion is to draft a complaint against the county government for police and prosecutorial misconduct and for violating Mr. Avery's civil rights. You may conduct outside research for this discussion but you do not have to include citations to legal cases. You may not, however, use the actual complaint filed in the Avery case (honor code violation).
