• Discuss the “Dominant Characteristics” of your industry. Conduct a “5 forces” industry analysis. Discuss how your industry is changing and what the industry of the near future (3-6 years from now) will be like.
• Give us an overview of your 2 companies(firms), and compare them. What do they sell? Where do they sell it, to whom? What are their market shares in the industry? What are their $ sales, and $ net profits and net profit %?
• For each of your 2 companies: How does the firm compete in the market? What is the generic strategy that it pursues? What are the specific relevant aspects of its corporate strategy and how it competes in the market?
• For each of your 2 companies: What is your firm’s competitive advantage(s)? In which activities does each firm create value/competitive advantage? Explain.
• Provide concrete and specific recommendations for each company. You must address the probably cost + revenue effects if the company followed your recommendations.
