Freedom Airlines uses different weight policies for male and female flight attendants. Although the Airline required female flight attendants to meet weight limits based on suggested weights for medium body frames, it permitted male flight attendants to meet weight limits based on large body frames. Does this constitute disparate treatment based on sex? Why or why not? Are there any defenses Freedom could rise to support this policy?
