Problem: This was in the newspaper awhile ago, and I would like to know what you think: a graduating high school student was not permitted to walk in his graduation ceremony, and his high school diploma was withheld because he had violated the dress code for the graduation ceremony. He was wearing a bola tie instead of a regular tie.
Do you think the school administration crossed the line here?
Was the student being disrespectful?
Does the principal have the right to deny the student a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
