My current class is evidence base. For my capstone project (nursing) I have to form a PICOT question.
My PICOT question is: Does increasing the knowledge about diabetic foot care help prevent diabetic foot ulcer infection?
P-Patient with diabetic foot ulcer
I-Education about diabetic foot ulcer
C-No education about diabetic foot ulcer
O-Decreased incident of diabetic foot ulcer
T-continous
The feedback I got back from mt teacher is that I need to revise the population in your PICOT. As I read your PICOT, it looks like you are trying to prevent diabetic ulcers in patient's that have ulcers. She is asking me to rethink the question.
I revise the question to: Does increasing the knowledge about diabetic footcare help decrease the incident of foot ulcer infection?
