Problem

During World War II, Hollywood explained to Americans what America was fighting for, always under the influence (and control) of the federal government's office of war information. Hollywood also showed how films may be used to serve contemporary political goals, and how Americans saw themselves during the period in which the United States became a world superpower. We are going to look at the role of the government in Hollywood films during wartime.
