Does bill have a claim against the company

Assignment:

Explain the answers (in your words- not copied from somewhere). Please include what laws apply etc.

Please do not include a bunch of irrelevant information that has nothing to do with the questions:

1.  Bill was a secretary for the CEO of a large company in an "at will" state. Bill had no Employment contract with the company. When the CEO was replaced, the new CEO believed it was more appropriate to have a female secretary. Bill was fired because the new CEO wanted a female as his secretary. Does Bill have a claim against the company? Why or why not?

2. Jim was hired by Big Company. On the day he was hired he was given an employee  handbook. The handbook stated that no employee would be fired unless first given the reason for the firing. Jim lived in an "at will" state. After six months of employment, Jim was summarily dismissed. When he asked for an explanation, his supervisor told him that they lived in an "at will" state and that no explanation was necessary. Does Jim have an argument that he was wrongfully discharged? Why or why not?

3. Simpson worked for UEW Co., and recently joined a religion that forbids working on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. UEW has operation hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Simpson requests to have his work hours changed to four day weeks, working from 8am to 6 pm, Tuesday through Friday. The UEW turns down his request, and Simpson fails to report for work on Mondays for several weeks and is fired. Does Simpson have a claim against UEW for religious discrimination? Why or why not?
