Do you think the officer was being honest

Problem

In a city in Illinois, an African American police officer driving an unmarked police car was pulled over by an officer not from his agency. The officer was wearing his uniform at the time, but he was not wearing his hat, which would have identified him as a police officer when viewed from outside the car. Per a complaint filed, the trooper who pulled the man over appeared shocked when the officer got out of the car. The trooper explained that he had stopped the man because he had three antennas on the rear of his car. Discuss the following:

a) Do you think the officer who pulled over a colleague was guilty of racial profiling?

b) Do you think the officer was being honest when he said the reason for the stop was the multiple antennas? Is having multiple antennas a crime?

c) Can complaints of being racially profiled be dismissed as the exaggerations of hypersensitive minorities or people who do not understand the job of a police officer?

Determine if the local, county or state law enforcement agency in Fort Worth have adopted and enforce policies prohibiting profiling and discrimination by officers based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, immigration status, disability, housing status, occupation, or language fluency as recommended in the 21st Century Task Force report released in 2015.
