You have learned how artists will make work to elicit political and social change. Do you think that art should question the status quo? Do you think this is an effective tool? How can they make it more effective? Do you think that protest art reaches a large enough audience to be effective? Choose an artwork that you feel elicits a response towards either a political or social change. Address why you you believe it is effective and/or appropriate and what are some of the strategies the artist has used. You can select works from the text, lecture, or from outside sources that you think will illustrate your opinion.
