Discussion Post: Society Questions Sociology
Choose one of the following prompts and, considering what you have learned from your text and/or other relevant course materials, respond to it in at least one full paragraph of 200 to 400 words.
Online students must additionally respond to the submissions of at least two other students in no less than 100 words each.
1) Now that you've read about different types of societies in history, do you wish you lived in a different type of society or in a different time period? Why or why not?
2) Almost every type of society that has ever existed has been marked by some form(s) of social inequality. Do you think social inequality can be avoided by or removed from societies? If so, how? If not, why not?
3) Do you think the society you live in is a good one or a bad one? What are its strengths? its weaknesses?
