Discussion Post: The Sociology of Aging
• Have you observed any incidents of ageism? Describe what happened. Do you think others also believed this incident to be an example of ageism? Why or why not?

Using the yellow pages, internet, or local newspapers identify the number and type of healthcare facilities for residents and/or patients over 55 in your community and surrounding communities (no more than a 30-minute commute). Categorize the facilities as total care, medium care or minimum care and provide the rationale for your categorization.
